Founded in 2019 by chairperson, Caitlin Kay-Smith, and director, Kale Rayment, two HG survivors, Hyperemesis Gravidarum Australia is an organisation focussed on raising awareness of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy and hyperemesis gravidarum and supporting the women suffering from these terrible conditions. Working in tandem with our international sister organisation, Pregnancy Sickness Support UK, we are part of a growing global network of charities determined to raise awareness , education and support of HG. We have big plans to develop a national network of volunteer supporters for women with HG and their carers. This will allow current sufferers to be partnered with a survivor for support, validation and advice.

Long term we would like to see HGA grow to reflect the national need for support of these conditions. We are working towards employing staff, getting our aforementioned volunteer program started, and hosting conferences and training sessions to ensure a high standard of consistent care Australia-wide. If you, or someone you know, has experienced NVP or HG we encourage you to be as involved with us as you can.

We are currently a small organisation and rely heavily on donations and fundraising and the work of volunteers. If you can support us in this way, please visit our Donate page for more information on how to get involved. Keep an eye on this website, and our social media channels, for updates on when we will be calling for volunteers.

We also encourage you to join the HGA Facebook page to connect with other women who are currently, or have previously, experienced HG.
